Graphic design course fees in Surat: what you should pay

Most institutes make you fill an enquiry form before they tell you a price. Here are the numbers, including ours, and the five things that turn a cheap course into an expensive one.

Updated 2 September 2026 · Future Vision Computer Institute

Short answer. In Surat, a beginner graphic design course of two to three months generally costs between ₹8,000 and ₹20,000. A long career program of nine months to a year runs from ₹20,000 to around ₹60,000.

Ours sit inside those ranges: ₹12,000 for the two-month beginner course and ₹21,600 to ₹56,000 for the nine-month advanced program, the range depending on the plan you choose.

The price is not the thing to compare. Two courses at the same fee can differ by a factor of ten in what you leave with.

What the ranges actually buy

Fee rangeTypical lengthWhat you should expect
₹5,000 – ₹8,000 1 month One tool, usually Photoshop. Enough to edit photos, not to take design work.
₹8,000 – ₹20,000 2 – 3 months Photoshop and Illustrator together, plus design fundamentals. Should include project work.
₹20,000 – ₹35,000 6 months Adds layout, branding and a real portfolio. Starts to be employable.
₹35,000 – ₹60,000 9 – 12 months Career program. Multiple tools, client-style briefs, portfolio and placement support.

If a quote sits far below its row, ask what is missing. Usually it is contact hours, batch size, or project work — and it is almost never the software licence, whatever the brochure suggests.

Five things that make a cheap course expensive

1. No portfolio at the end

This is the big one. Employers in Surat do not ask for your certificate; they ask what you have made. A course that ends in an exam rather than a body of work leaves you unhireable at any price, and you pay again elsewhere to fix it.

Ask directly: how many finished pieces will I leave with, and can I show them to a client?

2. Batch size nobody mentions

Design is learned by having someone look at your work and tell you why it is not working yet. In a batch of twenty-five, that happens rarely. The fee per hour looks low; the feedback per hour is what you are actually buying.

3. Six tools taught badly

A brochure listing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, Premiere and After Effects in three months is describing a demonstration, not a course. Two tools learned properly beats six tools seen once, and employers know the difference within one interview.

4. Fees that appear later

Certification charges, study material, exam fees, software costs. Ask for the total payable before you enrol, and ask whether the instalment plan changes it. Get the answer in writing.

5. Learning software instead of design

The most expensive mistake, and the least visible. Someone who knows every Photoshop menu but cannot explain why one layout works better than another will not get past a second interview. Tools change every few years; the judgement does not.

Our fees, in full

Both courses run at all three Surat branches. These are the complete amounts — study material and software are included, and there is no separate certification charge.

CourseLengthLevelFee
Basic Graphic Designing 2 months Beginner ₹12,000 (from ₹18,000)
Advanced Graphic Designing with Gen AI 9 months Beginner to advanced ₹21,600 – ₹56,000

The advanced program has a range because it is sold in plans — group batches cost less than one-to-one teaching. Ask for the exact figure for the plan you want rather than working from the range.

Which one should you start with?

Start short. Two months on Photoshop and Illustrator tells you whether you enjoy design work before you commit nine months and a larger fee.

This is not a sales position — it points you at our cheaper course. But people who discover in month two that they would rather edit video, or that they do not enjoy design at all, have learned something worth far more than ₹12,000. Doing that discovery inside a ₹56,000 program is an expensive way to find out.

The beginner course credits toward the advanced one if you continue, so starting small costs you nothing but time.

What we would tell you not to pay for

Common questions

How much does a graphic design course cost in Surat?

Short beginner courses in Surat generally run between ₹8,000 and ₹20,000 for two to three months. Long career programs run from ₹20,000 to around ₹60,000 depending on length and what is included. Ours are ₹12,000 for the two-month beginner course and ₹21,600 to ₹56,000 for the nine-month advanced program.

Why do graphic design course fees vary so much in Surat?

Mostly length and class size. A two-month beginner course and a nine-month career program are different products. Beyond that, the difference is usually how many students share one teacher and whether you finish with portfolio work. Software licences and study material are a small part of the cost, whatever a brochure implies.

Is a cheap graphic design course worth it?

Sometimes. A cheap course that teaches you Photoshop and Illustrator properly is better value than an expensive one that rushes through six tools. What makes a cheap course expensive is finishing it with nothing to show: no portfolio means no work, and you pay again somewhere else.

What should the fee include?

Study material, all software used in class, and enough project work to leave with a portfolio. Ask specifically whether there are separate charges for certification, material or exam fees. Ask how many students are in a batch. Both answers tell you more about the real cost than the headline number.

Do you offer instalments for the graphic design course?

Yes, and most institutes in Surat do. What matters is whether the instalment plan changes the total. Ask for the full amount payable both ways before you decide, and get it in writing.

Which graphic design course should a beginner take?

A short one first. Two to three months on Photoshop and Illustrator tells you whether you actually enjoy design work before you commit a year and a larger fee. Plenty of people discover in month two that they prefer video editing, or that they do not enjoy it at all. That is a cheap thing to learn early.

Can I get a job after a two-month graphic design course?

Some do, usually junior roles at print shops or small agencies, and usually because they built a portfolio during the course. Two months teaches you the tools. Whether you get hired depends on what you made with them and how you talk about it.

Are online graphic design courses cheaper?

Much cheaper, and free on YouTube. What you pay an institute for is feedback on your own work, a fixed schedule that makes you finish, and someone to ask when you are stuck. If you are disciplined enough to learn alone, do that and keep the money.

Come and see before you pay

All three branches run the design courses. Walk in, look at what students are working on, and ask the fee question in person — you will learn more in ten minutes than from any brochure.
